We have shipped over 2,500 PenSimples so far while increasing our production speed. Our manufacturer has shown they are adept at assembling and testing, but they have not been able to do so as quickly as they told us they could. The third batch of units shipped out a couple weeks ago and the fourth batch shipped last week. The fifth batch has passed inspection and is on its way to our fulfillment center, those 1,500 units will ship out this week. The sixth batch has been assembled and will be inspected this week, with the seventh batch being assembled throughout the week. The batches were unfortunately smaller than we were told they would be, but we are working around the clock with the manufacturer to continue increasing speed and maintaining quality.
We appreciate your support throughout our mass manufacturing process and are very sorry for the delays. With production stable and increasing, we are all working as hard as we can to ensure that everything continues moving forward. Safety concerns and new regulations surrounding lithium-ion batteries and dual-use products have added additional paperwork and costs, but we put in a lot up front to comply with all regulations and avoid customs delays.
